Celia Cruz – La Vida Es Un Carnaval

Úrsula Hilaria Celia de la Caridad de la Santísima Trinidad Cruz Alfonso (L’Avana, 21 ottobre 1925Fort Lee, 16 luglio 2003) è stata una cantante cubana naturalizzata statunitense.

Trascorse gran parte della sua vita negli Stati Uniti d’America e non poté più fare ritorno nella sua amata Cuba, se non per un unico concerto nella base americana di Guantánamo.

Celia Cruz è stata una delle cantanti latinoamericane più conosciute e di maggior successo internazionale del secolo XX. Ha ricevuto innumerevoli premi e riconoscimenti in tutto il mondo tra cui spiccano 22 dischi d’oro, 3 Grammy Award e 4 Latin Grammy Award[1]. È conosciuta in tutto il mondo per la sua famosa esclamazione ¡Azúcar! (in italiano: Zucchero!), simbolo del suo modo ottimista di affrontare la vita e del suo orgoglio di cittadina cubana (la canna da zucchero è infatti uno dei principali prodotti dell’agricoltura dell’isola).

MoKenStef – He’s Mine

MoKenStef was an American female R&B trio from Los Angeles, California, active in the latter 1990s. The group name was a combination of the first syllable of each member’s name: Monifa, Kenya, and Stefanie. They released an album, Azz Izz, in 1995, and their biggest hit was «He’s Mine«, which peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also spent one week in the UK Singles Chart in September 1995 at #70.[1] Their second single, «Sex in the Rain», was not as successful, peaking only at #63 on the US R&B chart.

Carlos Varela (nacido el 11 de abril 1963 en La Habana) es un músico y cantautor cubano fiel exponente de la nueva trova cubana de los últimos tiempos. De la generación de Santiago Feliú, Gerardo Alfonso y Frank Delgado la cual es posterior a la de Silvio Rodríguez, Pablo Milanés, etc., tomándolos a estos como referentes para sus temas, como son, Monedas al Aire, Como los Peces, Tropicollage, Lucas y Lucia, etc., pero con un toque más actual con respecto a sus tiempos y tratando por sobre todo temas sociales actuales de la Cuba de hoy, teniendo algunos problemas con el régimen político por sus letras que, si bien no se muestran totalmente opuestas al régimen cubano, hablan en muchas ocasiones de los principales problemas sociales, económicos y políticos que azotan a su país.

Noelia, nome d’arte di Noelia Lorenzo Monge (San Juan, 31 agosto 1979), è una cantante e attrice portoricana.

Nicholas Edward Cave ( Warracknabeal, Australia, 22 de septiembre de 1957), más conocido como Nick Cave, es un músico, escritor y actor australiano. Es famoso especialmente por su trabajo con el grupo Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, fundado en 1983 con una mezcla diversa de influencias y estilos musicales. Antes de The Bad Seeds, Cave perteneció al grupo The Birthday Party, conocido por su rock gótico, sus letras desafiantes y un sonido violento influido por el free jazz, el blues y el post-punk. System of a Down, also known by the acronym SOAD and often shortened to System, is an Armenian American rock band from Southern California, formed in 1994. It currently consists of Daron Malakian (guitar, vocals), Serj Tankian (lead vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar), Shavo Odadjian (bass, background vocals) and John Dolmayan (drums).

The band achieved commercial success with the release of five studio albums; from which three debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
